Hi,
Interesting information. Can you tell me if I can use the Standard DIN 8-pin plug to connect a iPod or iPhone or any device with a 3.5 mm conection
Looking forward to hear from you.
Kind regards,
Wolter Lalkens
Hi! Yes you can.
Google for „Alpine DIN8 jack“ or „Alpine DIN AUX IN“
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALPINE-CAR-RADIO-STEREO-8-PIN-M-BUS-DIN-CABLE-CORD-TO-3-5MM-MINI-JACK-AUX-IN-MP3-/390649710900
Make sure you have this type of connector on your headunit.
Sháním kabeláž mezi ALpine navigaci,bluetooth (2009)a rádio.Nebo náhradní řešení,samotné konektory.Každá rada drahá
a jaká je to přesně navigace (model)?
a pro jaké auto?
Už jsem vypátral prodejce konektorů,samozřejmě číňan :-).Za pět konektorů 470 kč, nic laciného.Kabely udělám plně obsazené 1:1.Jinak rádio je iXa-W404R, navigace NVE-M300P a bt modul KCE-250BT.
Hi, This is a very useful information. I have Alpine CDA-9885, I wanted to play music from my android via bluetooth. So i bought semthing like this https://www.amazon.com/HRB-Bluetooth-KCE-236B-CDE-9885-Interface/dp/B07MQDPT7M
it comes with mini-DIN-based 10pin plug, and first time i tried connecting and playing from bluetooth, no sound at all.. The bluetooth pairing works. I noticed that the mini din 10 pin out of my bluetooth adapter is slightly different. If I compare with the KCE-422i pin out above, my pin is on number 1,4 and 9. while in diagram it supposed to be 1,4, and 8. is that correct?
I opened your link and I can see 1,3 and 8 pins used on the main product image, and 1,3 and 9 in other product images. 1,3 and 8 should be the correct pinout, but the 1,3 and 9 may work too. Pin 1 and 3 are left and right channels, pin 8 is audio ground. Pin 9 is serial communication ground. However, the ground pins 8, 9,1 10 may be interchangable, because they are probably shorted internally.
Hmmm so I went ahead and changed the pin from no 9 to no.8. i tried connect it again with no success. Still no sound coming out from bluetooth player… My android’s bluetooth is surely working, because it can connect to my bluetooth speaker and it works.
What do you think?
Try to pair with different phone (iPhone?).
Try checking the output:
a) download 50hz mp3, play it via bluetooth on max volume and hook a multimeter on GND and left, or GND and right channel. Use 20V AC setting (not DC). Do you see any AC voltage? It should be in 0.5V – 2V range.
or
b) connect the pins to cinch cable and connect it to your home amplifier, do you hear anything?
do you mind send me a link to 50hz.mp3? I’ll give it a try. So you want me to check the output to make sure the bluetooth adapter is properly working right?
The cable pin out should not be the problem at this point?
So, I bought another two cables, mini din plug to 3.5mm aux jack & Ai-net plug to 3.5mm aux jack. like the following link https://www.amazon.com/AI-RCA-Alpine-AI-Net-3-5MM-Auxiliary/dp/B0779N11MP
I confirm the cable from head unit works, I already checked with my original mini din to iPod cable. That ipod cable works.
But, somehow the Mini din plug to3.5mm aux jack still doesn’t work. but the Ai-Net cable works. So I guess there is something wrong with the pin out maybe?
At this point, both mini din to bluetooth adapter and mini din to aux jack don’t work. both has the same pin out 1,4, 9 in mini din plug.
Hi I have a alpine era g311, and I’m trying to find a way to modify the ai-net cable to rca input. I’ve seen it done on YouTube but i can’t find anyone that can do it.
Thank you, very helpful. Best regards!
